The ANS (Australian Napoleonic Society) warmly welcomes new members and visitors. The ANS encourages anyone with even a passing interest in the period to attend one of our meetings or pick up a copy of the Communique.

Something for Everyone

Our interests are far reaching with articles and speakers devoted to topics from music, ceramics and architecture of the period, the position of women under the Code Napoleon, the raising and equipping of horses for the armies, as well as the more dramatic episodes of battles, campaigns and tactics. Biographies of the great and not so great, the cultivation of roses, the difficulty of command as demonstrated through role playing of aspects of the French Revolution, nothing is too obscure for us.

Experts in the arts, historical research, weaponry and manufacturing have all been welcomed as speakers to our meetings and have helped to enlighten us all on the wonderful richness of the period.
